I still don't understand why I have to blog as part of class assignment.. Isn't blogging supposed to be a past time and/or something that someone likes to do ?

Because this form of written expression has been widely used by people of all ages. Also considered common internet knowledge amongst younger generations.
Blogging isn't a past time, SAM! It's in fact a chore to me, but... I feel it's the best way of self-expression in full-length terms. I mean for me.
